Undergraduate Courses
The main aim of TSWDRCW colleges is to cater to educational needs of
young women hailing from marginalized communities and economically weaker
sections of the society. TSWRD&PGCW, Mahendrahills college is a specialized
college offering courses in life sciences affiliated to Osmania University. Candidates
seeking admission need to apply and qualify a common entrance test, TGRDC-CET conducted
by the Govt. of Telangana for admission into 1st year of degree in
residential degree colleges. To be eligible a candidate must have appeared for
the Intermediate examination (10+2) / equivalent in any stream with Chemistry
as a subject of study. Candidates with intermediate vocational courses are also
eligible provided they have completed a bridge course in life science subjects
and Chemistry.
Based on the ranks secured by the candidates in the exam they can opt for TSWRD&PGCW, Mahendrahills in the online procedure under execution of web-options. Admission process into college begins with candidates being called for counselling based on their merit following which they can execute their choice to pursue any life science course offered by the college as per CBCS. The maximum intake in a course is 40. The admission is a transparent process governed by DOST, Govt. of Telangana.
Postgraduate Courses
The college offers 2 postgraduate courses viz., M.Sc. Biotechnology and M.Sc. Nutrition. Admission into post-graduate courses is through State-wide common entrance exam CPGET conducted by Osmania University. The maximum intake in a course is 30.
